Aaliyah was born In Brooklyn, and raised in Detroit, she was one of the most talented and recognized hiphop R & B singers in the world.  Aaliyah released her first album “Age Aint Nothing But A Number” (1994) at age 14.  She had to more “One In A Million”(1996) and “Aaliyah” (2001) and were all best sellers!   She was a HUGE star but did a great job keeping here private life private.  Soon after her 3rd album she began to be an actress and it was all cut short by a plane crash in 2001.  She was only 22 years of age..RIP
